school time!

Ah yes, that back to school feeling that I am lacking continues to subside in my inner dwellings; it seems as if though it is yet another leisure activity. Boy do I love this feeling of summer freedom as I am not even pressured by the plague of class! Well, the American Literature course only consumes about 1:30 hours of my time, five days a week, which is not too much to begin with, so that leaves me much time to delve into the dreary yet ecstatic works that the teacher expects us to glean over late at night.

Speaking of which I have an enthusiastic uplifting teacher! He is from German descent and his family moved to the Hillcountry in 1866 I believe, and Lindemann means "People who take care of Linden trees". He guarantees a grade no lower than a 75, so that is a sigh of relief -- perhaps he is an "easy" teacher. One of his hobbies is quote collecting, and boy did he sure display that great feat! He pulled out about 10 quotes in his introduction today, and makes funny faces in the process. Much laughter ensued from me indeed. Most of the kids there are from HCC, but I recall two aggies, one long horn, a few cougars, and a fellow Baylor Bear, whom I actually am Facebook friends with but ... forgot how that came to be. We also went to the same high school... Sorry Madison!

Well I am glad I finished my readings for the night. We are reading works in the Puritan era, and Anne Bradstreet was our main subject. She represses her prowess in the poetic world in order to avoid being shunned by the omnipotent men who dominated the society. Interesting poems, and I had to re-read them over again to analyze and interpret her message(s). Nothing that made me have to think deeply yet... Maybe I will post some cool poems and analyze them if I find them worth sharing, since everything is online anyways! (I saved $85, cha-ching!)

After class I decided to purchase some HID (high intensity discharge) lights for my car (from Amazon, cheers for 2 day shipping). They are basically very bright headlights. They take less power, shine 3 times brighter, and last a lot longer, than standard halogen lights that come equipped in older or non luxurious cars. They are actually illegal since they can blind on coming drivers, but to hell with that. (Actually, they are only illegal if you install them in halogen lamps, since HID needs its own projectors, and if you have HID projectors, you are fine, so you can build your own for $600 and 6 hours worth of time if you really wanted to! Too bad I am incompetent in that field.) I am a rebel and will do what I want with my life and my car! Muahaha. I kid, but you just have to aim the beam low so it wont hit other peoples eyes, and having a low car helps. (I really wanted to lower my car too but that costs too much and will make it more prone to scrapes and bumps... oh well I can't have everything!) I shall post pictures of before and after if I get the chance! I got the 6000 kelvin ones (white with hint of blue) since that is the most practical one. Others include 8000k (blue) and 120000k (purple) and 4300k (yellow, like halogen lights). They also have 5000k (apparently pure white) but I could not find any. I think I will leave my fog lights stock since I will probably not use them unless I commute to and from Waco in the dark areas... and hopefully cops don't touch me!

It rained today for the first time ever since my summer break started! And I was about to wash my car too, boy am I glad I left that puppy alone. Ah, speaking of puppy, thunder and rain petrifies Cici; She cries and squeals and trembles and hides under my leg or bed or table or any foreign object, as if the earth was quaking. It is cute though. We had to skip our run tonight because the ground was still wet, and it reeked of fresh rain.. which I am not to fond of running in. Here is a blog entry that I think Cici would write if she was able to speak for herself:

Hello friends of Kevin!

My name is Cici and I am owned by my master Kevin. I am 2 years old in human years. I am half Chihuahua and half Pomeranian, and I am happy that I do not shed hair or get hair cuts. I weigh 14 pounds and am not sure how long I am; I am not as long as a Weiner dog or as brawny as a bull dog, but I sure know how to be heard. I hate it when other dogs are around, and I bark to my hearts content, even if they stop barking. I only like humans, and only humans I know. I enjoy meeting other people, especially Asians. There is this one time I met a white man and I was not too fond of his scent at first, but I got along with him perfectly in the end. He tasted not that bad. The same goes for Arabs. Upon meeting people, I give them a kiss on the lips or the nose. I get them every time, even if they try to avoid my lavish kisses. I love to run with master Kevin at night, he really pushes me hard and to my limit. After the run, I enjoy the belly rub he gives me. I love belly rubs from anyone and at anytime of the day. I enjoy eating all kinds of food, but my favorite is human food. My head pops up and my olfactory system activates upon hearing the cackling of wrappers being open, plops of boxes being propped, and when lids are snapped open, I rush to the scene in hopes of master Kevin sparing me some of his delicious food that his mom makes him. He gives me a bite sometimes, and give him the puppy eyes in attempt for some more goodies, but he is too good and never falls for my yearning. I like master Kevin because he lets me play when I want to, but sometimes he is occupied, doing his own thing, so I just sit in my bed, waiting. I hate being alone and I get so bored. Maybe that is why our lives move by 7 times faster than human lives. That is all I have to say today, friends of master Kevin. I am glad he provided me with an opportunity to speak to fellow humans.

Well that was rather interesting. I got that idea from my friend Andy when he created a Facebook for his dog, Pompom. It was pretty funny! Cici will not want all of her personal information disclosed so I will keep that safe with me.

I also seemed to have lost weight this summer, roughly 5 or so pounds. I think I just had to set a goal! I can't believe it happened so fast. It took about 1-2 weeks tops, and I did not starve myself. The trick is to speed up your metabolism through exercise and spatial eating. And you can not eat much sugar or bad carbs.. since that turns into fat if stored and unused. Well at least my body adapts to that, so don't hold it against me if that's not how it is supposed to work! I weigh in about 158-160 nowadays instead of that whopping scale shattering 165. I do notice my belly has flatten out.. so I know it is not water weight, even though I have been drinking water as if it was being poured from a waterfall into my mouth (yeah, thanks mom). I hope to retain this weight and perhaps make greater gains in musculature, but we will see about that later since you don't build muscle overnight, or in 1-2 weeks, unless you inject yourself with all sorts of weird things. Plus I have not been working out much due to lack of work out partners... Steve's been busy, my bro's a bum, and Thanh is in Florida. This is the time when I need to step up my game and be heroic and do it by myself. I need to conquer that feat, then I shall be unstoppable and my goals will be easily attainable.

That makes it a night for me! I will perhaps read the improving your memory book I got awhile back... either that or Word Freak. I need to read more, I still have a pile of 20 books from Half Price! So that is what I shall do tonight. And I haven't been getting quality sleep lately, I don't know if it's the night terrors, the hot hot heat of the room or whatnot, but I have trouble falling asleep sometimes and have had 2 nightmares recently. Well not nightmares but eerie dreams that kept me awake. They are soo spooky! I will post one later if I have another one that I remember. I still feel energized during the day but I bet that's my nature. Give me the body of .. well someone indifferent, then let's see who's talkin'.

Until next time!

-KT & Cici

p.s

I got Steve to start blogging, and in his blog he posted is xanga. I remember blogging about that, first thing, so I dug mine out and am proud to show how mature I have gotten over... 5 years or so. My xanga is pretty... embarrassing but I guess we all grow up sometime. I have yet to experience that :)
